.Low pressure will track east northeast through Dixon Entrance
Tuesday night through Wednesday bringing a period of snow and
pockets of freezing rain to the far southern panhandle. Freezing
levels will rise through Wednesday, causing a change over to rain
as the system moves out. Lower snowfall totals will occur as the
system is now expected to move through faster.
* WHAT…Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 6
inches.
* WHERE…Eastern Prince of Wales Island, including Thorne Bay,
Kasaan, and Hollis, Ketchikan Gateway Borough, and Annette
Island.
* WHEN…Until 6 PM AKST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS…Plan on slippery conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Wednesday morning commute.
