ft with 8 to 20 inches above 6500 feet. Snow accumulations of 6 to
14 inches west of Highway 89 with up to 30 inches along the Sierra
crest. Ridge winds gusting up to 120 mph. Southwest winds 20 to 30
mph with gusts up to 50 mph and wave heights of 2 to 5 feet on
Lake Tahoe.

* WHEN…From 1 PM this afternoon to 10 PM PST Saturday.
* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
hazardous conditions could impact the Friday and Saturday
commutes. Very strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees
and power lines. Small boats, kayaks and paddle boards will be
prone to capsizing and should remain off lake waters until
conditions improve.
