At 850 PM EST, Doppler radar was tracking an east-west line of snow
showers along a line from 8 miles northeast of Delmont to over
Sharpsburg, moving east at 30 mph.
Locations impacted include…
Pittsburgh, Penn Hills, Ross Township, McCandless Township,
Monroeville, Moon Township, Franklin Park, Latrobe, Vandergrift,
Homer City, Apollo, Shaler Township, Plum, North Side Pittsburgh,
Murrysville, Hampton Township, Wilkinsburg, Robinson Township, New
Kensington and Lower Burrell.
Visibilities will drop quickly to a half of a mile in the heavier
snow showers. A quick accumulation of around a half inch is
possible on roads. Winds may also gust up to 30 MPH.
This includes the following highways…
Parkway North between mile markers 1 and 13.
Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 61 and 76.
Interstate 376 between mile markers 55 and 58…and
between mile markers 69 and 84.
Pennsylvania Turnpike between mile markers 36 and 62.
