As a cold front pushes into the area this evening, gusty west to
northwest winds will develop across the region. In portions of
northeast Georgia and upstate South Carolina, conditions will be
favorable for a few strong gusts of 35 to 45 mph to occur before 7
PM. This may be enough to toss around loose outdoor objects such
as lawn furniture and holiday decorations. Gusts and impacts of
this magnitude likely will subside within an hour of sunset, but
breezy and sometimes gusty winds will continue overnight.
