Patchy to areas of fog have formed across eastern New York and
western New England. Some of the fog is locally dense down to a
quarter mile of visibility. The fog is due to a combination of
abundant moisture in the air and snow melt. The fog may be the
densest near the major river valleys.
If driving tonight, slow down, use your low beam headlights, and
leave plenty of distance ahead of you if you encounter dense fog.
