Snow showers will continue to spread west to east across the area
late this evening with moderate to heavy snowfall expected for a
brief window of an hour or less. A quick one half to one and a
half inches of powdery snow can be expected with this activity
with area roads becoming snow covered and slick as temperatures
edge down through the 20s. Visibility conditions will be highly
variable given the localized nature of the intense snow showers
with visibilities of one quarter of a mile anticipated within the
heaviest snow shower activity. Additional scattered snow showers
will work in behind this lead activity in some locations with
additional lighter accumulations expected beyond midnight. Drive
with extra care as travel conditions will deteriorate during the
remainder of the evening.
