At 429 PM EST, an area of heavy snow was located along a line
extending from 9 miles southeast of Franklin to 11 miles southwest of
Columbus. Movement was east at 40 mph.
Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with this area of heavy snow.

Columbus, Nashville, Edinburgh, Hope, Flat Rock, Milford, Princes
Lakes, Elizabethtown, Hartsville, Clifford, Jonesville, Burney,
Newbern, Gnaw Bone, Grammer, Azalia, Stone Head, and Taylorsville.
This includes Interstate 65 between mile markers 57 and 82.
Visibilities will drop quickly to less than a quarter of a mile in
this area of heavy snow.
Icy roads are possible as the snow melts on the roads then quickly
refreezes.
Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be
prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra
time when traveling.
