Good Morning. A nice fall-like warm up will continue for the region today, with temperatures into the 50s and even a couple of 60s in the far western reaches of the area. just a couple of clouds to start down around Paducah and Cape Girardeau early in the day, but a disturbance works into the region from late morning on. This will increase our clouds to the point that only our friends in southern Ohio will be enjoying widespread clear skies by nightfall. Otherwise, all of Missouri and Kentucky, along with the southern two-thirds of Illinois and the southern half of Indiana mostly is expected to be under a cloud deck by nightfall.
We’ll also introduce a chance for a couple of spotty showers in the region from the western half of Kentucky into far eastern Missouri today as well. Our warm spot will be in ST. louis where the high temperature is expected to be 63, and we’ll see the cool spots across southern Ohio, where the clear skies will avoid trapping solar heating near the ground, and 52 is the expected high for Dayton, Columbus and Athens.
Winds will be moving between south-southwest and southwest, from 8-15 MPH depending on your location. I hope you have a great Sunday.
