Good Morning! We are just about through this heat! One more day of sun with blistering temperatures is on tap for us, then, thanks to a front being dragged through the area tonight from a surface low that is well north into Canada, we’ll finally cool it down some. Readings today will be well into the 90s again. A couple more 100 or better air temperatures are possible, especially as you come southward through the region. Triple digit heat index values will also be with us for one more day, those will top out between 100 and 105 this afternoon in places such as St. Louis, Evansville, and Paducah, who will have the worst of the bunch with an expected 104 heat index value! Clouds will gradually start to thicken as we get toward the evening hours and that front approaches from the northwest.
