Evansville Metro & Tri-State 7-Day Outlook Updated Tuesday, September 24, 2024 Sponsored by New Outlook Lawncare

Good evening! Partly sunny skies on Wednesday with temperatures in the upper 80s. Tropical Storm Helen (soon-to-be Hurricane Helen) will make landfall in Florida on Thursday into Friday and make its way to the northwest into the Ohio Valley by Friday and Saturday. On Thursday, partly sunny with a chance of thunderstorms with temperatures in the upper 70s. We are on alert on Friday into Friday night for heavy rainfall that may exceed 2 to 3 inches, locally up to 4 inches. Rainfall totals are set to change a bit, but this will likely erase much of the drought that remains ongoing. Severe weather may be possible on both Friday and Saturday, but is quite uncertain. We will know more about that by late this week. Thunderstorms are expected Friday and Saturday, where heavy rainfall and gusty winds to 30-40mph are possible, depending on the pressure of Helen once it lands into the Ohio Valley region. Temperatures on Friday and Saturday will be in the middle 70s. On Sunday, a chance of thunderstorms continues with temperatures in the middle 70s. On Monday, the chance of thunderstorms ends with temperatures in the upper 70s. Sunny skies return Tuesday of next week with temperatures in the upper 70s.

Lows will be in the lower 60s Wednesday night, upper 60s Thursday night, and lower 60s Friday through Tuesday nights.
