Evansville Metro & Tri-State 7-Day Outlook Updated Thursday, September 26, 2024 Sponsored by New Outlook Lawncare
Good evening! We are on alert on Friday into Friday night for heavy rainfall that may exceed 4 to 5 inches, with locally higher amounts. Rainfall totals may change a bit as we head into tomorrow morning, but it has increased to 4-5 inches for now. This is due to Hurricane Helene moving towards our region by the weekend. Rain is expected on Friday and Saturday, where heavy rainfall and gusty winds from 35 to 45 mph are possible, depending on the pressure of Helen once it lands into the Ohio Valley region. Temperatures on Friday and Saturday will be in the lower 70s. Partly sunny skies with a chance of rain Sunday with temperatures in the middle 70s. Sunny skies return Monday through Thursday as a cold front pushes through, and then high pressure settles in towards the middle of next week. Temperatures on Monday and Tuesday will be in the upper 70s, while Wednesday and Thursday may be in the middle to upper 70s.
Lows will be in the lower 60s Friday through Monday nights, and lower 50s Tuesday through Thursday nights.
